Top 5 ways you can continue to support hospitality & businesses

Ways to support the hospitality sector

It doesn’t need to end in Tiers.

Here’s top 5 ways you can continue to support hospitality & businesses.

At Family Friendly Eateries and FeedMe Digital, we champion local businesses. We will continue to see many changes in 2021 and the hospitality sector has changed drastically in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, there are ways you or your company can help to support local businesses – here’s our top five steps.

[1] Order a takeaway or try a DIY meal kit

A takeaway is not a new concept but I’m guessing many of you have increased the frequency of takeaways during this pandemic. Social distancing has also shown a new wave of innovation, with restaurants changing up their business models to offer DIY meal kits or ready to bake kits. Not only does it help pay to keep staff employed, but it also helps producers and other businesses within the supply chain too.

[2] Buy a gift card or voucher

Nottingham is in tier 3 (at the time of writing) but when things are a little more ‘normal’ in 2021 wouldn’t it be nice to dine out again with friends and family. Buying a restaurant, pub or café gift voucher can keep businesses afloat while they can’t trade as usual. It gives you something to look forward to once we have the freedom to live our normal lives again!

[3] Add a free business listing to FamilyFriendlyEateries.com or recommend this to others

We invite businesses to list their restaurant, café, pub, or pop-up venue, completely free of charge. The community site help businesses get listed in our directory, and customers can quickly find information about them. Whether that be offers, special deals, or just general info about how family or child friendly their venue & meals are. Visit the website for further details.

[4] Write a review, or recommendations

Not everyone has the financial means to support local businesses with money – so another way to support is by word of mouth or through recommendations online. Either share reviews on the company’s own website or through FamilyFriendlyEateries.com where you can also add reviews, ratings or become a guest blogger.

[5] Like, share, and engage on social media

Sharing is caring, and it could help the businesses you love to survive. Positive exposure and recommendations are so important in this digital age. Simply follow and engage with businesses and to gain extra coverage, feel free to tag @familyfriendlyeateries on social and we will re-share your posts too.

So there you have it – let us know how you’re supporting the hospitality sector too?

Here’s to hoping for a better New Year!
