Grilled Garlic Lobster

Lockdown 2.0 means a lot of hospitality businesses are turning to delivery and takeaway services.

The Lobster Pot is made up of two family-run seafood restaurants, in Nottingham and Beeston, founded by the Pongsawang family, after they moved from Bangkok, Thailand, to England in 1991. Over time, Lobster Pot began to infuse their dishes with more Thai spices and flavours and the combinations were a true hit. And I can vouch for that!

Grilled Lobster in Garlic Butter ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑

It’ll be a crime if we didn’t try their infamous Lobsters especially, if Lobster is in their name! We were treated with a Grilled Lobster in Garlic Butter which was divine and was the nice centrepiece at the table. This was consumed the fastest!

King Prawns Pad Thai Noodles ⭑⭑⭑⭑

Wow. Fireworks in the mouth! Pad Thai noodles is one my favourite dishes but if you can’t handle the spice you may need to ask the guys to tone it down. My son loves pad thai too and fortunately, they have a kid friendly version.

Chefs Special Chilli – Beef ⭑⭑

This looked like a classic beef stir fry with mushrooms, onions, green peppers and veg, on top of fried rice. Rice was a little firm for us but depends on your own palette preference.

Special Fried Rice – Chicken (No Egg) ⭑⭑⭑

My daughter has an egg allergy, so The Lobster Pot kindly catered for our needs by removing egg from this dish.

The verdict?

Overall, communication and service were excellent. The delivery driver came on time and adhered to covid-safety.

We had the pleasure of indulging ourselves with delicious Lobster and Thai food in the comfort of our own home. When the restrictions are lifted, be sure to visit one of their two restaurants – or give their takeaway service a go if you prefer to dine at home.

Christmas is just around the corner so if you fancy Lobster instead of Turkey this year you know where to go! Let’s continue to support local family run businesses!

We can’t wait to see the back of Covid so “Let’s shell-ebrate the good times!”
